How to publish your first TestFlight build

Publishing is a checklist, not a mystery: correct bundle ID, valid signing, one clean upload, then testers. Do it from the Release tab.

  1. Step 1: Confirm the bundle ID

    It must be unique and match your App Store Connect record.

  2. Step 2: Connect signing

    Use an App Store Connect API key plus your Developer Portal team so builds sign cleanly.

  3. Step 3: Upload build 1

    Run the TestFlight publish; the first upload creates the version in App Store Connect.

  4. Step 4: Invite testers

    Add internal testers first, then expand to external groups.

Why did my first upload fail?
